State Board of Maryland Requirements
The State Board of Cosmetology in Maryland requires each student to acquire 1500 hours of instruction in a cosmetology school
before you will be allowed to sit for the state board examination.
Aspen's Cosmetology Course
Having a Cosmetology license will allow you to work on clients hair, skin, and nails. Aspen Beauty Academy offers a full course in
cosmetology. Having so many options under one license allows each person to have so many choices! You may want to focus on
doing hair now, but in the future you may want to make a change and provide manicures or skin care to your clients. Or, you may want
to do it all now and be able to be a full-service cosmetologist to your clients. With a license to be a cosmetologist, the sky's the limit!

Aspen's Scheduling Options
When you choose Aspen, we offer so many schedules that one will definitely be the right one for you.
Day Programs:
40 hours/week (9 month course): Tuesday-Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm
and Saturday 9:00am - 5:00pm
30 hours/week (12 month course): Tuesday-Saturday 9:00am - 3:30pm
20 hours/week (18 month course): Tuesday-Saturday 9:00am - 1:00pm
Evening Programs:
30 hours/week (12 month course) Tuesday-Friday 3:00pm - 9:00pm
and Saturday 9:00am - 5:00pm
20 hours/week (18 month course) Tuesday-Friday 5:30pm - 9:00pm
and Saturday 9:00am - 3:30pm
